This story is actually kind of funny.

See, Graci and Adam knew each other because Graci and Alainna, Adam’s older sister, met at a church camp called Trinity Youth Conference. They were best friends from the time they were 14 and 15 years old. Adam, being the Romeo that we all know he is, long said that one day he would marry Graci. Oh, how we laughed then…

Right before Adam left for Basic Training in the Air Force, a mutual friend of his and Graci’s had come to town to visit his sister. He decided to spend the weekend at his sister’s house to enjoy the visit. Graci, of course, had come over as well… and the magic began. Over the course of that weekend, Adam and Graci ended up spending more of their time with each other than their visiting friend, and at dinner before their friend left, he flipped Graci’s Cruzian Hook, which in St. Croix, means that one is in a relationship or taken. They were inseparable for the next couple of weeks before he left for Basic Training and Tech School for five months. He was finally home again for a month in April, and he had a plan.

While enjoying a walk in the woods, Graci noticed Adam was acting strangely. At first she wondered if he just had gas, but then she realized that he was actually nervous. She became concerned, and asked him to sit on a fallen tree with her. He stuttered and stammered something about a new journey together, and when he looked at her face asking for clarification, he finally spit it out.

Adam looked at Graci, and asked "Will you marry me?"

The rest of the story is still being written, as they progress through their engagement to the big wedding day and on to the rest of their life.
